LIVING ROOF

RooftopTO features a living roof with plants that naturally infuse the air with oxygen and reduce carbon dioxide levels, while the the roots and soil can remove toxic chemicals.    Along with improved air quality a living roofs also improves water quality.  As rainwater runs off impermeable surfaces it rinses pollutants into local waterways.  Living roofs help filter these pollutants from the runoff before it reaches municipal water treatment facilities. 

 SOLAR REFECTIVE SLABS

Along with the living roof RooftopTO features white solar reflective roof slabs.  These slabs help lower a building’s overall energy consumption by reducing the heat island e­ffect. These white solar reflective pavers reflect the sun’s rays away from the rooftop, which helps decrease interior heat of the building resulting in less energy being used to cool the building.  

SUSTAINABLE AND ECO-FRIENDLY 

RooftopTO is furnished with furniture made from recycled plastics.  Each Muskoka Chair is made with 100s of plastic bottles which were destined for our waterways and landfills.
